It had set off protesters and more letters to editor and culminated in an amazing documentary. The inspiration for the 2010 film started with a letter to the editor from Mr Bowers to his local newspaper comparing events surrounding President Obama with an agenda he remembered from a Communist Party USA meeting he'd attended two decades ago. You might have heard Mr.Bowers speak back in 2010 when he came to Oregon to promote the documentary that had grown out of a home schooling project with his children.
